MUSICAL portugal tour

 august 15—August 27 2018

International travel with a MUSICAL purpose

friendship between nations and people through music

Music critic and conductor Daniel Kepl cordially invites music enthusiasts from around the world to join him for the second annual summer travel and music adventure tour by Emeriti Philharmonic.

Portugal is this summer's destination. Participants will gather in Lisbon on Wednesday, August 15 2018 for a 13-day tour of the country tailor-made and personally guided by Gregory Edward, founder and CEO of VIP Private Travel. Gregory lived in Portugal for more than 20 years, where he owned a boutique travel agency specializing in luxury private tours. Now residing in Colorado Springs, he has opened this exclusive tour to Portugal for a limited number of participants.

The maximum number of persons on this trip will not exceed twenty travelers.

From the day of your arrival to the date of departure, we have arranged a spectacular itinerary throughout Portugal. With  visits to Sintra, Évora, Óbidos, Nazaré, the Douro River Valley and Pinhão, four days in Porto, then back to Lisbon. This tour will offer an exciting overview of Portugal, organized by Greg to maximize your cultural and musical experience.

Included are all breakfasts, several lunches or dinners, including a restaurant dinner and traditional Fado  music performance, a  meet and greet with well known Portuguese pianist who specializes in the piano music of Portugual's Bach, Carlos Seixas, with a private tour of the Casa da Música and National Theater São João in Porto, and the National Opera House São Carlos in Lisbon, modeled architecturally on La Scala opera house in Milan guarantee a special experience for Emeriti Philharmonic participants. Additional museum tours, together with presentations on the maritime history of the country, a tour of Lisbon's famous Navy Museum, and a casual evening sight-reading chamber music with our new musical friends in Portugal will forge memories and friendships to cherish for years to come.

Throughout this hilly city on the Tagus River, structures and spaces are being stylishly reborn, harboring chic boutiques, galleries and new spots for eating and drinking.
